JOB TITLE: ??Registered Nurse Flex Nursing SupervisorLOCATION: Jersey Shore HospitalDEPARTMENT: ??NursingWORK SCHEDULE: RotationWORK TYPE: Flex??JOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Vice President of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision of nursing services throughout the hospital.?? This individual assumes functional authority for the management and administrative responsibilities of the department of nursing and the hospital during the evening/night hours weekday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays.COMPETENCIES/SKILLSDemonstrates commitment to quality patient care.Demonstrates emotional maturity and stability.Must be trustworthy in safeguarding confidential information.Encourages personnel participation in reporting and monitoring unsafe unit conditions.Participates in appropriate departmental and organizational meetings. Represents department and hospital at internal and external meetings and functions as requested.Assists staff and family when a patient death occurs.Collaborates with physicians and other departments to coordinate patient care.Advises and assists nurses in administering new or unfamiliar treatments.Encourages the use of the nursing care plan as the basis for delivery of nursing care.Supports the organizational commitment to cost containment.Assumes responsibility for own continuing education and developmental needs, seeks to enrich personal knowledge, growth and skills in management and clinical care of patients.Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement as requested.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEAt least three (3) years of Medical-Surgical, Critical Care or Emergency Room nursing experience required.Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Licensure, Certification, Registration & Evaluation: Current Pennsylvania license as a registered professional nurse (RN). BCLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 6 months after employment. PALS certification preferred.Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital???s Ethic???s and Compliance program. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
